A filter removes impurities from water by means of a fine physical barrier in a chemical process or a biological process. Filters cleanse water to different extents for purposes such as providing agricultural irrigation, accessible drinking water, public and private aquaria, and the safe use of ponds and swimming pools.

Sand filtration is frequently used and very robust method to remove suspended solids from water. The filtration medium consists of a multiple layer of sand with a variety in size and specific gravity. Sand filters can be supplied in different sizes and materials both hand operated or fully automatically.

Activated carbon works via a process called adsorption, whereby pollutant molecules in the uid to be treated are trapped inside the pore structure of the carbon substrate. Carbon filtering is commonly used for water purification, in air purifiers and industrial gas processing, for example the removal of siloxanes and hydrogen sulfide from biogas.

This Iron Removal Filter Cartridge contains the same media (Permanganate Treated Zeolite) employed in many expensive iron water filtration systems, however, it is packaged in a standard 20 inch filter housing that any homeowner can manage and  A latest concept in the water treatment technology, a Multi Grade Filter consists of vertical or horizontal pressure sand lters that contain multiple layers of coarse and fine sand (pebbles and gravels) in a fixed proportion.

The automatic gravity filter automatically treats drinking, process and cooling water. Flow rates of 6 to more than 1100 m3/h can be achieved with a single apparatus. Microfiltration is a type of physical filtration process where a contaminated fluid is passed through a special pore-sized membrane to

separate microorganisms and suspended particles from process liquid.
